As a sign of the continuing growth of the firm, TJT is excited to announce the addition of Nick Butterly, CPA and Sarah Carver, CPA to the ownership group. Nick is an audit partner based out of the Raleigh office and Sarah is a tax partner based out of the Durham office. Both Nick and Sarah have spent their entire professional accounting careers working for TJT.

Nick has over nine years of experience working in public accounting specializing in audit and attestation with industry focuses that include manufacturing, software providers, service providers, private equity, non-profits, and private schools. Nick also provides professional services to businesses in the areas of consulting and evaluation of internal controls. Nick is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) currently licensed in North Carolina and is a member of the AICPA and NCACPA. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Elon University.
Nick grew up in Cary, North Carolina and was a member of the Elon Men’s Soccer team during college. He resides in Raleigh with his wife Rachel and daughter, Camden.
Sarah began her career with TJT in 2010. Sarah provides income tax planning, compliance, transactional services, and consulting to privately held middle market companies, passthrough entities, and individuals. Her areas of specialty include real estate development, construction, and holdings as well as serving family investment partnerships and their owners. She is a North Carolina licensed Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA and NCACPA. She graduated with honors from NC State University with Bachelor of Science and Master of Accounting degrees. Sarah is an active member of AGN North America’s Tax20 Networking Group and an AICPA Elijah Watt Sells Award recipient.
Sarah grew up in Oxford, NC, where she currently resides with her husband Ryan and sons, Weston and Levi.
